The viscosity of Liquid Sodium silicate

The viscosity of liquid sodium silicate also has the relationship with temperature. The viscosity will reduce with the rise of temperature. When the temperature is 2 degrees below zero, sodium silicate began to freeze. When the temperature over 150 degrees, there will be a small amount of liquid splash.

So the liquid sodium silicate′s usage water temperature is between –2°c----150°c. The higher the temperature is, the lower of viscosity. We should pay specially attention to the temperature, because the sodium oxide will react with high fire-resistant performance of oxide to form the low melting material. The low melting material can reduce the usage temperature of refractory.
