Sodium metasilicate pentahydrate

One of the application areas of Sodium metasilicate pentahydrate is to act the detergent auxiliary. It is white crystalline particles or white powder. Relative density is 0.7-1.0 and the melting point is 72.2°C. It is strong soluble in water and dilute alkali liquor but insoluble in alcohols and acid. It is deliquescent when exposed in the air. It has the capacity of decontamination, emulsification, dispersity, permeability and good PH buffering. Highly concentrated solution has corrosive effect to knitted fabric and skin.
