3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION |
3.1 Ingestion
Burns of the esophagus and less commonly the stomach may occur after caustic ingestion, the absence of oral mucosal injury does not reliably exclude esophageal burns.Patients with stridor, drooling or vomiting are more likely to have esophageal burns.
3.2 Inhalation
Stridor, dyspnea, upper airway injury, and pulmonary edema, especially following inhalation of vaporized caustics, may occur.
3.3 Skin
Severe skin irritation and/or burns may occur.
3.4 Eyes
See Inhalation
3.5 Hazards
Oxides from metallic fires are a serve health hazard.
Fire may produce irritating, corrosive and / or toxic gases.
4. FIRST AID MEASURES |
4.1 Ingestion
Mucosal if no respiratory compromise is present, dilute immediately with milk or water ,mo more than 8 ounces in adults and 4 ounces in children .Gastric ipecac contraindicated of a small, flexible nasogastric or orogastric tube to suction gastric contents after recent large ingestions, the risk of further mucosal injury must be weighed against potential benefits.
4.2 Inhalation
Move patient to fresh air.Monitor for respiratory distress. If cough or difficulty breathing develops, evaluate for respiratory tract irritation, bronchitis,or pneumonitis.Administer oxygen and assist ventilation as required.Treat bronchospasm with beta2 agonist and corticosteroid aerosols.
4.3 Skin Contact
Remove contaminated clothes.Irrigate exposed skin with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes or longer ,depending on concentration, amount and duration of exposure to the chemical .A physician may need to examine the area if irritation or pain persist.
4.4 Eyes
Home irrigation-exposed eyes should be irrigated with copious amounts of water for at least 30 minutes. An examination should always be performed.Ophthalmologic consultation should be obtained.Medical facility:irrigate with sterile 0.9%Saline for at least an hour or until the cul-de-sacs are free of particulate matter and returned to neutrality(confirm with PH paper).
5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES |
Fire fighting
Extinguish fire using agent suitable for type of surrounding fire.(Material itself does not burns with difficulty.)Use water in flooding quantities as fog.Cool all affected containers with flooding quantities of water.Apply water from as far a distance as possible.
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES/SPILL OR LEAK PROCEDURES |
Small spills/leaks
Build dikes to contain flow as necessary.
Neutralize spilled material with crushed limestone, soda ash, or lime.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE |
7.1 Storage Requirement
Store in a cool, dry location in a sealed container.
7.2 Handling
Containers of this material may be hazardous when emptied.Since emptied containers retain product residues(vapor, liquid, and /or solid),all hazard precautions given in the data sheet must be observed.
8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION |
8.1 Personal Protection
Wear appropriate protective gloves, clothing and goggles, and anti-slipping shoes.
8.2 Respirators
Wear positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus.

Second, the purpose
Repair of instant sodium silicate is mainly used for furnaces, refractory gunning and other not stereotypes refractories, oil field drilling, building, metallurgy, thermal insulation and electrode binder, acid-resistant cement, alumina cement and other cement additives, used in detergents and synthetic agent in coating industry in addition to the agent, filling agent, alleviate agent, used for any range of liquid sodium silicate for.
APPEARANCE: white uniform powder.
USAGE: Sodium Silicate Powder is widely applied in silicon fertilizer, water soluble silicon fertilizer, metallurgy industry, electricity industry and building industry. It was used as binder for making fire-resistant material, industry cleaner and antiseptic. In detergent industry, soap industry, it is as anti-oil agent, filling agent and corrosion buffer. As the binder and high temperature filling agent, it is utilized refractory, core, casting, strengthen the force character and durability for cement as fast-drying material. As the filing-hole material and strengthen material, it is utilized in oil-exploitation, nature gas exploitation, tunnel. Sodium Silicate Powder can be as the application scope of liquid sodium silicate.
BRIEF INTRODUCTION: Sodium Silicate Powder was approved as FAMOUS BRAND OF Luoyang Qihang Chemical. We can produce it according to the requirements of customers, such like requirements for MODULUS, CONTENT, Al2O3, Fe2O3 and so on.
